General Medicine

General medicine is the branch of medicine that focuses on adult care. It refers to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the internal organs. A general medicine doctor may work with a patient’s heart, lungs and brain, among other organs. These doctors treat illnesses of the internal organs with methods other than surgery. A specialist in this field is referred to as a general medicine physician. These doctors work with patients age 18 or older, as doctors who work with children are called pediatricians. General physicians become experts at diagnoses, thanks to their extensive training and medical school. Often, they must identify multiple diagnoses, as diseases that involve several internal organs are not uncommon.

Dentistry

Curriculum at the dentistry faculty is provided for 5 academic years. The students go through the basic subjects of medical and biological profile, as well as various clinical disciplines, which are so necessary for a dentist. On condition of successful completion of study the graduates are given the Diploma of a doctor – dentist. The curriculum foresees the further postgraduate education. The degree awarded is BDS.

Pharmacy

Pharmacy is the health profession that links the health sciences with the chemical sciences and it is charged with ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. The word derives from the Greek: φάρμακον (pharmakon), meaning “drug” or “medicine”(the earliest form of the word is the Mycenaean Greek pa-ma-ko, attested in Linear B syllabic script).

Nursing

Nursing is a healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life from conception to death. Nurses work in a large variety of specialties where they work independently and as part of a team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. Nursing Science is a field of knowledge based on the contributions of nursing scientists through peer-reviewed scholarly journals and evidenced-based practice.

Veterinary

Veterinary medicine is the branch of science that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, disorder and injury in non-human animals. The scope of veterinary medicine is wide, covering all animal species , both domesticated and wild, with a wide range of conditions which can affect different species.
